Paulding County, GA Children's Activities

When you have little ones, you know how important it is to have activities available for when your children are bored and need something to do. If you live in or are visiting the Paulding County, Georgia, area, you will find an abundance of engaging children's activities to keep your toddler or preschooler happy and busy.

1. Dance & Music Activities

Enroll your toddler in Two Dance so she can learn the basics of dance. If you have a preschooler, you can enroll her in one of the more advanced dance classes. Dance Fancy allows children to explore the world of dance through fantasy and playing pretend. There is also Tap Dance and Ballet available for your preschooler. If your little one enjoys music, take her to Gigi's Music Room where she can explore music through experimenting with musical instruments and learning new songs. This class is for children ages 15 months to 36 months and their parents. Each of these activities are available through the Paulding County Department of Parks & Recreation Department (paulding.gov).

2. Tumbling & Karate Activities

If you are looking for an activity for your toddler or preschooler that will keep him constantly on the move, try a tumbling or karate class. Tumblebees has two classes, one for toddlers and one for preschoolers. The instructor teaches basic tumbling while encouraging good listening skills. At Tots N' Tuesdays, your preschooler can join other kids the same age for gym time to learn about coordination, flexibility and team work. Karate for Tots is a preschool class that focuses on teaching children about basic self-defense, self-control and body awareness. Sign up your little one for one of these activities with the Paulding County Parks & Recreation Department (paulding.gov).

3. Area Parks

The Paulding County, Georgia, area has a number of beautiful parks that you and your child can visit. Sara Bab Park (cityofdallasga.com/parksrec/sarababbpark.html) has a large playground, with winding slides, climbing equipment and swings perfect for your preschooler. There is also a pavilion near the playground for you and your child to have a picnic. In Hiram, you can check out the Home Leggett Memorial Park (paulding.gov). Your little one can run and play on the playground or you can take a walk together on the walking trail, while soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the outdoors.

4. Area Libraries

Spend a rainy day snuggled up with your little one at one of the Paulding County area libraries. Choose some books to read together or take part in some of the activities offered. At the Hiram Library (wgrl.net/venue/hiramlibrary) your preschooler can join other children his age at Hiram Pre-School Storytime. Storytime includes exciting stories, crafts and music. At Saturday Movie Matinee, your whole family can enjoy a children's movie, popcorn, candy and drinks. In Dallas at the Paulding County Carnegie Library (pauldinglibrary.org) your preschooler can also enjoy storytime with "Kooky Kirk," as well as other planned activities. An Easter Party is held in the Spring with Peter Cottontail, games, crafts, stories and refreshments. In the winter, your little guy can go to Winter Wonderland. The children's room is transformed into a place of magic with twinkle lights and decorations for this event where Santa makes an appearance.
