All-inclusive resorts can simplify a family vacation that includes teens. Since families pay a lump sum in advance for a stay that includes accommodations, food, drink and many activities, teens have the ability to alternate time with the family and time spent independently. Many resorts even cater specifically to teens by offering organized activities and teens-only social spaces.
Located in Nassau, Bahamas, Breezes Resorts hold a special appeal for teens, as they only allow guests 14 and older. That means no little kids running around while they relax on the beach. The resort is on Cable Beach and has three freshwater pools. Active teens will enjoy the tennis courts, volleyball and rock climbing. They can even take windsurfing lessons. Breezes also has more unique activities, including sumo wrestling, a flying trapeze and reggae lessons. Since food at the four resort restaurants is included, your teen won't have to hunt you and your wallet down when he gets hungry.
Beaches Resorts -- in Negril and Ochos Rios, Jamaica, and one in Turks and Caicos -- have several activities to keep teens entertained on vacation. They can relax at the teens-only beach shack or play foosball at Trench Town. Gamers will enjoy the video game lounge, and a water park is accessible at all three locations. All offer water sports and scuba diving; the Negril location also offers waterskiing, while Turks and Caicos has a surf simulator
Club Med has resorts all over the world, including France, Indonesia, Mexico and Dominican Republic. Depending on the location you choose, your teen might have access to skiing or the beach. They also cater to teens in the 11-to-17 age group with specially designed areas to keep them entertained. Some locations have a Juniors' Club Med, which organizes group and individual activities, and others have Club Med Passworld, which is an area with creative activities for teens.
Verandah and Coconut Bay
Antigua is the location of the Verandah Resort and Spa. It offers white, sandy beaches and a large swimming pool, as well as paddleboarding and windsurfing. Land activities include table tennis and mini golf. The resort specifically caters to teens by offering movie nights, a teen disco and karaoke. Coconut Bay Resort and Spa is on St. Lucia. Your teen will have full access to a water park with four pools, two slides and a lazy river. There is even a paintball facility on site; however, that particular activity is not part of the all-inclusive package.
